Camp MOE is a day camp for boys and girls 5 – 15 years old. Camp MOE is owned and operated by the Arc of Litchfield County, Inc. and is a camp for all children with and without special needs. Diversity and Respect are the backbone of Camp MOE. Camp is located on over 165 acres of beautiful woods in Litchfield County, Connecticut with miles of trails, a private pond, and lots of wildlife. Camp MOE offers a summer of fun, challenges, friendship, learning and adventure.

Camp Day: 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.

Every day at Camp MOE is filled with adventures, challenges and fun through a variety of activities. All campers are placed in small groups (PDF) determined by their age, abilities, development and the grade they will be entering in the fall. Rain or shine, we are at camp.

There are four activity periods a day; one of these periods is for swim lessons, which all campers participate in.

Lower Camp: entering 1st and 2nd grades

Campers with and without special needs who are entering 1st and 2nd grades (and campers who have turned 5 as of June 1, 2018) will enjoy a structured day including swimming lessons, arts and crafts, music, gaga, nature and other various activities, including community programs. Our campers stay with their counselors all day - ratio 1:4.

Upper Camp: entering 3rd thru 7th grades

Campers with and without special needs who are entering 3rd through 7th grades in the fall will have the opportunity to choose the activities they participate in. Some of the activities may be: arts and crafts, dance, sports, music, archery, boating, gaga and much more. Campers in Upper Camp also take swimming lessons and have free swim daily.

Transportation

Bus transportation to and from Camp MOE is included in the camp fee. Staff members ride the buses to and from camp in order to assure a safe and fun ride for each camper.

When picking up a camper (at camp or from the bus stop), whoever is approved by being listed on the camper’s transportation form must provide a photo ID of themselves, for every pick-up. This is for the safety of our campers!
